Many of our Regular Air Ticket Customers (Who have USA Green card and visits India and USA Every year) have asked this question.
If I go back to USA after one year, is it OK now due to Corona and due to the fact that no regular flights are in operations?
We are sorry to say that US Government Still has not announced any change in policy for Green card holders, and your green card will be considered cancelled if you do not go back to USA within Maximum One Year. If you secured "Re-entry" permit before coming to India, you must go back to USA before its expiry date.
If your stay is more than one year in India and you do not have Re-entry permit, you can apply for a "Returning Resident Visa" at US Embassy in India. This procedure is very complicated and takes much time and almost all procedures like PCC, Medical etc to be done. Also there is no guarantee that Consular Officer will approve your Returning Resident Visa.
Therefore we strongly recommend that you visit/go back to USA before your stay reaches 1 year outside USA.
